The StormTracker antenna is mounted inside a PVC pipe attached to a Davis weather station.
The mast is 1 ½ inch PVC while the container for the detector is 3 inch PVC mounted to a tripod on the roof..

Antenna installed inside wooden shed. Antenna is attached to bracket made from PVC plumbing hardware with nylon cable ties. Cable runs underground from the shed to the house.
Antenna mounted on peak of roof inside PVC sewer pipe. The antenna is mounted to the cap of the sewer pipe with a plastic right-angle bracket using nylon screws. The cap is installed on the sewer pipe without glue so it can be rotated to fine-tune the direction.
Antenna mounted in the attic using PVC plumbing hardware. The short piece of vertical
pipe is not glued, allowing the antenna to be rotated for fine-tuning direction.
LD-250 antenna mounted on a Windstar. The
antenna is mounted inside a magnetic mount antenna housing. The
housing was painted black since people kept yelling "Hey! You've
got a cup on your roof!" A Motorola magnetic mount GPS antenna is also
visible.

notebook computer is mounted on the dashboard. The laptop is mounted
using a SMC Corp. VMI-LN laptop mounting bracket shown in the photo on the left.
The computer slides onto the bracket and locks with a key. The LD-250
(visible in the left photo) is mounted in the storage area near the
bottom of the center console. Everything was mounted using 3M
black foam tape and self-adhesive Velcro. No holes were drilled yet everything is very
secure (clean thoroughly with alcohol first or the tape won't stick).
